Everything could happen in Formosa at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth rankedGimnasia and 8th ranked La Union had identical 15-11 record. But La Union was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Comodoro Rivadavia 86-77 on Saturday night. Guard Emiliano Toretta (185-2001) fired 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. Venezuelan forward Anyelo Cisneros (200-1997) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Five Gimnasia players scored in double figures. Gimnasia's coach Pablo Favarel used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Alexis Elsener (195-1988, agency: Interperformances) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Brandon Beavers (188-2001, college: Lawrence Tech) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the third consecutive win for Gimnasia . They moved-up to fifth place. Loser La Union dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost.
