Comunicaciones shot 60.7 percent from the field and made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Comunicaciones outrebounded Caroya 32-19 including 23 on the defensive glass. Comunicaciones shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish-Venezuelan swingman Franger Pirela (187-2002) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Raymon Bastardo (202-2002) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. point guard Juan Frontera (178-2002) answered with 31 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Maurice Walton (206-1998, college: BENUM) added 13 points in the effort for Caroya. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
