Regular Season Round 9: Lakers - Bulls 79-87

Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Bridgetown: Bulls (#3) and Lakers (#6). Lakers were defeated at home 79-87 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The former international forward Kemar Benn (198-2001, college: Baton Rouge) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Simeon Maynard accounted for 19 points and 10 rebounds. Four Bulls players scored in double figures. Naturalized Grenadian forward Jehu Lafeuillee (203, college: IU East) came up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Scott Wharton added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Lakers in the defeat. Bulls maintains third place with 7-3 record having just three points less than leader Pinelands. Loser Lakers keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Bulls' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bridgetown Celtics.
