The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Canadian Edmonton (1-1) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were rolled over by Puerto Rican Cangrejeros (2-0) 89-68. Cangrejeros dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Edmonton's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Edmonton's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Davon Jefferson (203-86, college: USC) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. Cangrejeros' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was center Chad Posthumus (210-91, college: Morehead St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American swingman Trahson Burrell (201-92, college: Memphis) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
