Regular Season Round 5: Running Rebels - Western Ballaz 101-89

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Running Rebels (5-3) beat 6th ranked Western Ballaz (3-4) in Belize City 101-89. Running Rebels forced 20 Western Ballaz turnovers. Western Ballaz was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international Tyrone Hall (190-1990, college: Queens, NY) stepped up and scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and American forward James Stanback (198, college: Camden County) chipped in 21 points. American swingman Mark Gordon (196, college: Keiser) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and the other American import power forward Richard Smith III (206-1992, college: California, PA) scored 8 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Running Rebels. They maintain third place with 5-3 record behind leader Dream Ballers. Western Ballaz at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
