Regular Season Round 12: CAN Oruro - Saracho 70-78

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Oruro: Saracho (#4) and CAN Oruro (#2). CAN Oruro was defeated at home 70-78 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. 29 personal fouls committed by CAN Oruro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Cuban guard Daniel Simon (185-1996) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). Guard Cristhian Delgado (184-1993) contributed with 9 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Saracho's coach Hugo Turilli used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Detrek Browning (183, college: FMU, agency: BIG) replied with 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and his fellow American import swingman Deondre Wade (194, college: Seminole St.) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for CAN Oruro. Saracho (5-3) moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated CAN Oruro. Saracho will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. CAN Oruro will play at home against Atletico Nacional and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
