Leones dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to CAN Potosi 's 26. They outrebounded CAN Potosi 49-37 including 36 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Uruguayan point guard Mauro Zubiaurre (189-1994) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 7 assists.
