Regular Season Round 6: Flamengo - Cerrado 94-57

The most surprising game was the first loss of Cerrado (2-1) in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday night. Visitors were rolled over by tenth ranked Flamengo (1-2) 94-57. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cerrado. They outrebounded Cerrado 43-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. Flamengo looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Power forward Ruan Miranda (205-1) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Matheus Maciel (207-1) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Sergio Conceicao (208-0) with 12 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Robson Junior (178-0) scored 13 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cerrado's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Flamengo left bottom position moving up to seventh place. Cerrado at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with Mogi. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
