Everything could happen in Mogi das Cruzes at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Pinheiros and 10th ranked Mogi had identical 5-7 record. But Mogi was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Sao Paulo 82-65 on Wednesday night. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Gabriel Campos (179-1) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 assists and Gui Abreu (199-99) who added 9 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Wesley Ferreira (200-95) responded with 22 points and 5 assists and center Thiago Mathias (208-89, college: N.Mexico JC) scored 9 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Pinheiros (6-7) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Caxias do Sul. Mogi lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Rio Claro and Cerrado. Pinheiros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mogi will play against Caxias do Sul (#6) and hope to secure a win.
