Regular Season Round 4: Osasco - Sao Jose 71-79
Date: March 11, 2022
Another interesting game for Sao Jose (4-2) which played on the court of Osasco (3-3). Second ranked Sao Jose won 79-71. Osasco was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Arthur Pecos (183-1994) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Greek Dimitris Sousa (198-1994, college: UVA Wise) who added 25 points during the contest. Four Sao Jose players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Alexei Patricio (192-1997) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Bruno Felipe Viana (191-1993) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sao Jose maintains second position with 4-2 record having just two points less than leader Praia, which they share with Blumenau and Tatui/AABT. Osasco at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Basquete Santos and Vila Nova/AEGB. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
