Sao Jose outrebounded Araraquara 38-27 including 24 on the defensive glass. The former international point guard Arthur Pecos (183-1994) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Alex Oliveira (195-1983) chipped in 21 points. Four Sao Jose players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Nezinho Dos Santos (185-1981) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and Marciel Paje Santos (201-1991) added 4 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
