Regular Season Round 6: Mogi - UniFacisa 71-55

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Mogi (2-2) defeated bottom-ranked UniFacisa (0-4) in Mogi das Cruze 71-55 on Wednesday. Mogi outrebounded UniFacisa 48-28 including a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Leandro Moura (190-2001) notched 26 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and Davy Costa (-2002) supported him with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Mogi's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by point guard Lucas Cardoso (176-2001) did not help to save the game for UniFacisa. Marlysson Costa (-2001) added 10 points and 5 rebounds. Despite that victory Mogi went down to fifth position due to points difference, which they share with Minas and Sao Paulo. Loser UniFacisa still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Brasilia. Mogi will meet higher ranked Sao Jose (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. UniFacisa will play against the league's leader Pinheiros (#1) in Sao Paulo and hopes to get finally their first victory.
