Regular Season Round 24: Sesi Franca - Bauru 90-82

NBB top team - Vivo/Franca (24-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (13-10) in Sao Paulo 90-82. Vivo/Franca made 32-of-34 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game, while Paschoalotto/Bauru only scored three points from the stripe. Paschoalotto/Bauru was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard David Jackson (190-1982, college: Penn St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and the former international Jhonatan dos Santos (199-1987) who added 10 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Argentinian point guard Jonatan Machuca (186-1989) with 27 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Alex Garcia (190-1980, agency: Interperformances) scored 16 points and 7 assists. Four Vivo/Franca and five Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vivo/Franca have an impressive 24-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-0 record. Defending champion Paschoalotto/Bauru keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Pinheiros. Vivo/Franca's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sao Paulo Pinheiros.
