Rather expected game when 7th ranked LSB (3-10) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Vera Cruz (7-5) 75-59 on Wednesday. Vera Cruz forced 21 LSB turnovers and outrebounded them 43-25 including a 21-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Maisa Dias (-2002) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The former international Izabella Sangalli (182-1995) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Vera Cruz players scored in double figures. Center Brenda Barros (184-2000) produced 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Mayara Crystina (174-1997) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Vera Cruz have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place.
