Regular Season Round 1: Maringa - SESI 49-53

The game between closely ranked teams ended with SESI's road victory over Maringa 53-49 on Friday. SESI forced 21 Maringa turnovers. International Vitoria Marcelino (181-1996) notched a double-double by scoring 10 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and power forward Evelyn Mariano (180-1997) supported her with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds by center Thayna Sylvestre (181-2004) did not help to save the game for Maringa. Forward Jamily Reis (175-2003) added 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the hosts. SESI will meet at home Campinas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Maringa will play against Santo Andre and hope to win that game.
