Not a big story in a game when 7th rankedSalvador (1-4) was outscored at home by fifth ranked SESI (4-1) 90-32 on Friday. SESI held Salvador to an opponent 21.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.7 percent accuracy of the winners. SESI forced 25 Salvador turnovers and outrebounded them 43-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. SESI looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Salvador 's players. Forward Clara Pestillo (181-2006) nailed 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and guard Lorena Ribeiro (176-2007) accounted for 17 points. Isabela Costa (-1992) came up with 3 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Tatiane Pacheco (181-1990) added 2 points respectively for Salvador in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for SESI . They moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Salvador keeps the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Sao Jose and Recife.
