Regular Season Round 11: SESI - Recife 73-65

Very expected game when 8th ranked Recife (2-10) lost to third ranked SESI (11-2) in Araraquara 65-73. SESI forced 23 Recife turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Maisa Marcal (178-2000, college: GCU) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Evelyn Mariano (180-1997) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. Mayara Leoncio responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and center Jenyff Moura (185-2001) scored 7 points and 12 rebounds. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for SESI. They moved-up to second place. Recife at the other side dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. SESI will play against Cerrado (#4) in Brasilia in the next round. Recife will play at home against Santo Andre (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
