Quarter-Finals Round 4: Minas - Corinthians 81-92

Corinthians dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Minas ' 26. Corinthians players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by American guard Davaunta Thomas (196-1995, college: UAFS) who scored that evening 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Elio Corazza (195-1989, college: Miami Dade CC) supported him with 15 points, 12 assists and 4 steals. Thomas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Corinthians' coach Jece Leite allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 24 points by American forward Erik McCree (202-1993, college: La Tech) did not help to save the game for Minas . Power forward Rafael Rachel (205-2000) added 17 points and 7 rebounds for lost side.
