Pinheiros outrebounded Corinthians 46-28 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pinheiros made 8 blocks. Point guard Felipe Borges (188-2003) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and forward Eduardo Santos (197-2009) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Victao Camilo (203-1997) responded with 21 points and the former international point guard Elio Corazza (195-1989, college: Miami Dade CC) scored 13 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
