Regular Season Round 13: Quilicura - UdeC 65-84

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Universidad de Concepcion (11-3) outplayed on the road 6th ranked Quilicura (3-10) 84-65 on Thursday. Quite impressive performance for forward Lino Saez (-0) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). International guard Diego Silva (186-93) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Universidad de Concepcion players scored in double figures. The former international center Osven Ledezma (202-90) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Heder Louis added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Quilicura. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Universidad de Concepcion. They maintain first place with 11-3 record. Quilicura lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the sixth position with ten games lost. Universidad de Concepcion will face league's second-placed Espanol de Talca on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quilicura will play against Universidad Catolica (#5) in Santiago and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
