There was a surprise result in Santiago where tenth ranked Brisas (1-6) outscored higher ranked Truenos (3-3) 75-53 on Sunday. Brisas had a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Rodolfo Ordonez (-87) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Lee Roy Sepulveda (196-87) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Guard Francisco Rojas (190-91) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and forward Nick Morales (187-85) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brisas left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Arabe de Valp. and Arturo Prat. It was Truenos' third loss in a row. They keep the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Boston College. Brisas will meet higher ranked Tinguiririca SF (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Truenos will play against Stadio Italiano and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
