Regular Season Round 8: UNAB Concep. - Infinito 44-59

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of UNAB Concep. (4-4) in Concepcion on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Infinito (4-1) 59-44. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of UNAB Concep.. They outrebounded UNAB Concep. 50-36 including 38 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Florencia Avalos (-4) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Barbara Torres (168-3) who added 20 points during the contest. Center Estefania Munoz (-96) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Carla Monsalve (-92) scored 4 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Infinito keeps a position of league leader. UNAB Concep. at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Boston C.. Infinito will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
