No shocking result in a game when third ranked Ancud (3-3) beat on the road 5th ranked Castro (1-3) 66-62 on Sunday. Strangely Castro outrebounded Ancud 46-24 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: OBU) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Ricardo Armijo (194-95) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Four Ancud players scored in double figures. Abner de Novais came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and Daniel Arcos (190-94) added 8 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Castro in the defeat. Ancud maintains third place with 3-3 record having four points less than leader Puerto Varas. Loser Castro keeps the fifth position with three games lost.
