Everything went according to plan in Vina del Mar where second ranked Gimnastico (6-2) outleveled bottom-ranked Rancagua (0-8) 112-18 on Saturday. Gimnastico held Rancagua to an opponent 15.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 49.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Gimnastico forced 58 Rancagua turnovers and outrebounded them 49-32 including a 22-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Rancagua's players. The former international power forward Catalina Abuyeres (182-97) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners and forward Ada Bernal (-92) chipped in 26 points and 7 steals. Five Gimnastico players scored in double figures. At the losing side Ailyn Roldan (-0) responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds and Maria Lobos (-96) scored 3 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gimnastico have a solid series of three victories in a row.
