There was no surprise in Temuco where 3rd placed Frontera (6-3) was crushed by leader Alemana P. (8-0) 98-44 on Sunday. Alemana P. dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Frontera's 20. Alemana P. forced 25 Frontera turnovers and outrebounded them 50-30 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Frontera's players. The former international guard Fabiola Pardo (165-76) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds, 16 assists and 7 steals for the winners and the former international center Tatiana Gomez (192-81) chipped in 28 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 blocks. Five Alemana P. players scored in double figures. At the losing side Argentinian power forward Melisa Cejas (186-84) responded with 9 points and 7 rebounds and Javiera Merino scored 11 points. Frontera's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Alemana P. have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record, which they share with Sportiva Ita. and Univ.Concepcion. Loser Frontera dropped to the second position with three games lost.
