Regular Season Round 3: Manquehue - Liceo Curico 93-51

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Manquehue's (1-1) home victory over Liceo Curico (0-3) in Santiago 93-51 on Friday. Manquehue dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Liceo Curico's 26. They outrebounded Liceo Curico 59-23 including a 42-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Manquehue looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Fernando Schuler (190-1991) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Juan Peters (-1993) accounted for 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Manquehue players scored in double figures. Forward Bastian Fuenzalida (-1997) came up with 8 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sebastian Munoz (-1990) added 12 points respectively for Liceo Curico in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Manquehue will meet Quilicura (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Liceo Curico will play against Tomas L. and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
