Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both second ranked Manquehue and one of their biggest challengers Quilicura had identical 1-1 record. But Quilicura was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Santiago 69-57 on Sunday night. The former international Fernando Schuler (190-1991) fired 7 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Francisco Atala (-1994) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Daniel Arcos (190) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and American power forward Shannon Fowler (203, college: UWG) added 12 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Manquehue maintains second position with 2-1 record behind leader Sergio Ceppi, which they share with Catolica and Puerto Varas.
