Regular Season Round 6: Las Animas - Temuco 91-70

Bottom-ranked Temuco (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 91-70 loss to fourteenth ranked Las Animas (2-4) in Valdivia. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for American-Dominican center Justin Satchell (203-1995, college: St.Leo) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Argentinian power forward Cristian Amicucci (200-1985) contributed with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Las Animas players scored in double figures. Las Animas' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Uruguayan point guard Martin Perdomo (178-1995) replied with 24 points and 8 assists and Brazilian power forward Diego Dias Silva (207-1990) added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Temuco. Las Animas moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Puerto Montt. Temuco at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Las Animas will play against higher ranked Espanol O. (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Temuco will play against Quilicura (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
