Regular Season Round 4: Infinito - Laja 94-31
Date: April 29, 2023
No shocking result in a game in Concepcion where fourth ranked Infinito (2-1) smashed bottom-ranked Laja (0-3) 94-31 on Saturday. Infinito dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Laja's 24. Infinito forced 53 Laja turnovers and had a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Laja's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Millaray Torres (-2005) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds and Macarena Ruiz (-2003, agency: ROCKIN SPORTS) who added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Infinito players scored in double figures. At the losing side Anabel Fernandez (-1990) responded with 5 points and 17 rebounds and Camila Gomez (-1993) scored 5 points and 11 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Infinito moved-up to third place, which they share with Tomas L and Puente Alto. Loser Laja still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
