Regular Season Round 6: Infinito - Temuco 76-47
Date: May 13, 2023
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Concepcion where fourth ranked Infinito (3-2) outleveled one of their biggest challengers Temuco (2-2) 76-47 on Saturday. Infinito forced 25 Temuco turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Barbara Torres (168-2003) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Josefa Catalan (-2003) chipped in 11 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Infinito players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jessica Martino (175-2000, college: Delaware St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and Katherine Scheverman (-1994) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Infinito moved-up to third place. Loser Temuco dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with New Crusaders and Osorno. Infinito's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Concepcion to the arena Conce.
