Regular Season Round 14: Truenos - Temuco 54-57

The most exciting game of round 14 in the LNF took place in Talca. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked Truenos (1-7) to fourth ranked Temuco (5-4) 57-54 on Saturday evening. Temuco forced 23 Truenos turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Jessica Martino (175-2000, college: Delaware St.) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Argentinian center Melisa Cejas (186-1984) chipped in 6 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. American-Puerto Rican Jazmin Sepulveda (178-1985, college: S.Florida) produced 13 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and center Fernanda Quezada (-1998) added 11 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Truenos' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Temuco moved-up to third place, which they share with New Crusaders. Truenos lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Pankull.
