The most exciting game of round 14 in the LNB 2 took place in Valparaiso. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Arabe de Valp. (6-6) to second ranked Sergio Ceppi (7-4) 69-66 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Arabe de Valp.. Sergio Ceppi forced 27 Arabe de Valp. turnovers. Strangely Arabe de Valp. outrebounded Sergio Ceppi 54-32 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Arabe de Valp. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Boris Guerra (-1987) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Fabian Aguilera (-1995) chipped in 19 points. Sergio Ceppi's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Pedro Soares produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and forward Ricardo Jadue (-1998) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Sergio Ceppi maintains second position with 7-4 record having four points less than leader Liceo PN. Arabe de Valp. at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Stadio Italiano.
