Puente Alto made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jonnivius Smith (206-2001, college: UTSA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). His fellow American import Rakim Brown (198-1991, college: Humboldt St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Puente Alto's coach Alvaro Chacon allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Stephen Maxwell (201-1993, college: CSUN) answered with 23 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Kevin Rubio (192-2000) added 18 points in the effort for Espanol.
