Regular Season Round 9: Cimarrones - Carrib.Storm 62-78

An interesting game for Storm (8-1) which played road game in Quibdo-Choco against 3rd placed Cimarrones (5-5). First ranked Storm had an easy win 78-62. Storm had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. The former international guard Romario Roque (180-1998) stepped up and scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American Dominique Morrison (198-1989, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Storm players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Bruce Massey (190-1990, college: MTSU, agency: BIG) with 12 points and Michael Parra (-1995) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Storm have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. Cimarrones at the other side keep the third position with five games lost. Storm will play against league's second-placed Cafeteros in Armenia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cimarrones will play on the road against Team Cali and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
