Important game to mention about took place in Cali. Fourth ranked Cimarrones (6-6) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Team Cali (5-6) 79-76 in the fight for the third place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Team Cali. American forward Mike Poole (196-1992, college: Iona) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Bruce Massey (190-1990, college: MTSU, agency: BIG) supported him with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Even 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard John Merchant (187-1989, college: Dowling) did not help to save the game for Team Cali. Greek power forward Panagiotis Filippakos (202-1994) added 15 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Team Cali's coach Guillermo Moreno rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cimarrones moved-up to third place. Team Cali at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost.
