The most exciting game of round 4 in the Santiago League ended with only one-point defeat of one of their biggest challengers GUG (1-2) to top-ranked CDP (2-0) 100-99 in the game for the second place. Guard Rigoberto Mendoza (187-92, agency: BMS Sport Agency) fired 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Eloy Vargas (211-88, college: Kentucky, agency: Duran International) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Four CDP players scored in double figures. Guard Gelvis Solano (185-94, college: Merrimack, agency: BMS Sport Agency) produced 27 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and American Jordan Williams (198-92, college: N.Texas) added 25 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CDP maintains second position with 2-0 record behind leader Cupes. Defending champion GUG keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Plaza and CPN. CDP will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. GUG's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Plaza.
