Regular Season Round 3: Titanes - Indios 82-88

There was a small surprise in San Cristobal where Indios (3-5) defeated Titanes (3-4) 88-82 on Wednesday. Indios forced 22 Titanes turnovers. Strangely Titanes outrebounded Indios 39-27 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Juan Miguel Suero (196-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Ronald Roberts (203-91, college: St.Joseph's, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Ash Yacoubou (193-92, college: St.Louis) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Winston Shepard (203-93, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Indios and five Titanes players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Indios will meet at home Caneros in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Titanes will play against Leones and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
