Regular Season Round 4: Metros - Indios 81-97

Date: June 2, 2022
There was a minor upset in Santiago where one of their biggest challengers Metros (2-3) were defeated by seventh ranked Indios (2-3) 97-81 on Thursday. Indios looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Guard Juan Suero (196-1993) fired a triple-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists for the winners. Adonis Henriquez chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Four Indios players scored in double figures. Center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Adris De Leon (180-1984, college: EWU) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Indios moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Marineros and Metros. Indios will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Metros will play against Reales (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
