The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedMetros (7-5) in Santo Domingo on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Soles (5-7) 92-86 . Soles dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Metros ' 36. Dimas Carrasco scored 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Luis Martinez (196-2000) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Juan Guerrero (203-1993) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and American guard SirJabari Rice (193-1998, college: Texas) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Four Metros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Soles moved-up to seventh place. Metros at the other side still keep top position with five games lost.
