There was a minor upset in San Cristobal where 6th rankedSoles (1-3) were defeated by ninth ranked Titanes (2-4) 89-84 on Sunday. Titanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Naturalized Spanish power forward Jhonatan Araujo (206-1996) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American-Argentinian guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Jonathan Bello (195-2001) produced 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Jean Quezada (206-2000) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Titanes and four Soles players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Caneros. Loser Soles dropped to the eighth position with three games lost.
