Regular Season Round 10: Caneros - Metros 80-78

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Metros (10-2) in La Romana on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by fifth ranked Caneros (5-7) 80-78. Eusebio Suero scored 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Reymond Bastardo chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Jordan Hall (203-2002, college: St.Joseph's) responded with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Adris De Leon (180-1984, college: EWU) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Metros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Caneros maintains fifth position with 5-7 record. Metros at the other side still keep top place with two games lost. They share the position with Indios. Caneros are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Soles (#9) in Santo Domingo in the next round. Metros will have a break next round.
