The game had a very big importance for second-rankedMetros as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Metros defeated 4th ranked Reales in Santiago 95-82 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Reales. Metros looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Reales ' players. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American forward Jordan Geronimo (198-2001, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording 20 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American swingman Jordan Hall (203-2002, college: St.Joseph's) contributed with 9 points, 10 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American-Iraqi guard Ramon Galloway (190-1991, college: La Salle) replied with 25 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Malachi Richardson (197-1996, college: Syracuse) added 18 points in the effort for Reales. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Indios. Reales at the other side keep the fourth place with eight games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
