Regular Season Round 9: Sivar - L.M.Mons. 105-27

Bottom-ranked L.M.Mons. (0-8) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to fourth ranked Sivar (7-2) 105-27 on Saturday evening. Sivar dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to L.M.Mons.'s 20. Sivar forced 52 L.M.Mons. turnovers and outrebounded them 47-31 including a 28-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by L.M.Mons.'s players. The best player for the winners was Allison Marroquin (167-3) who scored 28 points and 4 assists. Point guard Wendy Guevara (165-1) chipped in 22 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five Sivar players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Margarita Vides (158-6) who recorded 1 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and Fatima Valiente (158-84) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sivar. They moved-up to third place. L.M.Mons. lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. They share the position with Opico. Sivar will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. L.M.Mons. will play against Marlins (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
