Regular Season Round 11: Salvadorenas - Teclenas 26-62

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Santa Tecla: Teclenas (#5) and Salvadorenas (#8). Salvadorenas were crushed at home by 36 points 26-62 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Salvadorenas. Teclenas held Salvadorenas to an opponent 18.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Teclenas forced 37 Salvadorenas turnovers. Yashary Hernandez (170-99) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Alexandra Fuentes (160-89) contributed with 15 points and 5 steals for the winners. Daniela Escobar (167-7) answered with 6 points and 12 rebounds and guard Andrea Canales (162-4) added 3 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Salvadorenas. Salvadorenas' coach gave up on the game allowing to play thirteen players seeing no chance for a win. Teclenas (7-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Bulldogs and Sivar. Salvadorenas at the other side keep the eighth position with six games lost. Teclenas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Salvadorenas will play against Se7en (#11) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
