Regular Season Round 13: San Marcos - Sivar 50-61

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of San Marcos (8-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Sivar (8-2) 61-50. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of San Marcos. Point guard Wendy Guevara (165-1) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 assists for the winners and center Samantha Vasquez (162-2) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side center Kryssia Urias (185-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds and Alicia Abarca (165-97) scored 2 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sivar have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Bulldogs. San Marcos at the other side keep the second position with one game lost.
