Santa Tecla forced 19 Santiagueno turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Gerardo Rivas (182-2001) who scored 26 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Colombian Michaell Jackson (190-1987) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Cuban guard Pedro Roque (187-1995) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and American Xavier Eaglin (201-1997, college: PVAMU) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Santa Tecla and five Santiagueno players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
