Regular Season Round 1: FAS Fever 2 - LMMR 2 85-51

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of LMMR 2 on the court of FAS Fever 2 on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by FAS Fever 2 85-51. FAS Fever 2 forced 30 LMMR 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 50-37 including 37 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by LMMR 2's players. Point guard Aida Funes (171-1984) fired 28 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Naturalized American Emily Tevez (175-1993, college: NDN) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Tevez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Cuban center Anay Garcia Pozo (188-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and Cuban guard Yusleidys Miranda (173-1996) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FAS Fever 2 is looking forward to face Santa Tecla ITD in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. LMMR 2 will play against Santa Tecla ITD and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
