Regular Season Round 10: Santa Tecla F1 - Teclenas 66-36

The most important game in the last round took place in between third ranked Teclenas (5-4) and seventh ranked Santa Tecla F1 (1-7) on Tuesday night. Teclenas were crushed by Santa Tecla F1 on the road 36-66. Santa Tecla F1 held Teclenas to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.2 percent accuracy of the winners. Santa Tecla F1 looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Teclenas' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Adriana Rivas (175-1996) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Paola Campos (165-2001) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Center Kryssia Urias (185-1994) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and center Paola Ortiz (172-2001) added 7 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Teclenas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Santa Tecla F1 maintains seventh position with 1-7 record. Teclenas at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. Santa Tecla F1 are looking forward to face higher ranked UCA (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Teclenas will have a break next round.
