The most important game in the last round took place in Santa Ana between second ranked San Salvador (6-3) and fourth ranked LMMR 2 (3-6) on Saturday night. San Salvador was defeated by LMMR 2 in a tough game on the road 56-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of San Salvador. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican swingman Yadira Polanco (177-1992) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Vanessa Hernandez (157-1997) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Dominican center Yamile Rodriguez (188-1994, college: ETSU) replied with 6 points and 16 rebounds and naturalized American Emily Tevez (175-1993, college: NDN) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for San Salvador. LMMR 2 maintains fourth position with 3-6 record. San Salvador at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. LMMR 2 are looking forward to face higher ranked Salvadorenas 2 (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. San Salvador will play against the league's leader Santa Tecla 2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
