An interesting game took place in Santa Ana where higher ranked Santiagueno (2-3) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Santa Ana (2-4) 96-89 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was guard Marcus Feagin (193-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 20 rebounds. American guard Anthony Strickland (196-1993, college: EMU) chipped in 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Colombian center Freddy Asprilla (206-1988, college: Canisius) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Baltazar Castellon (185-1993) added 18 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Santa Ana and four Santiagueno players scored in double figures. Santa Ana moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Quezaltepeque. Loser Santiagueno keeps the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Brujos and Fantasmas. Santa Ana will meet at home higher ranked Cojute (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Santiagueno will have a break next round.
